1. Launch Day Competition (closed 1 Nov ’21)
General terms and conditions of the Launch Day competition hosted by What WayD Says.
Participation
- The competition is conducted by What WayD Says, trading on www.whatwaydsays.co.za.
- No person who is a director, employee, sponsor or agent of or consultant to What WayD Says or who is a spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner, or associate to a director, employee or agent of or consultant to What WayD Says is eligible to participate or enter this competition.
- This competition is open to legal residents of the Republic of South Africa as well as residents of those countries which share a border with South Africa.
Entries
- The competition runs on 1 November 2021. No late entries will be accepted.
- To enter the competition participants need to purchase an item from the What WayD Says online shop between 23:59 on 31 October 2021 and 23:59 on 1 November 2021. No minimum purchase dictated.
- Multiple purchases are accepted.
- The winner will be randomly chosen via a certified method of selection on 3 November 2021.
- No responsibility will be accepted for entries lost, delayed or damaged in transmission.
- Entries reflected on the records of What WayD Says will be treated as the only validation source and will be the only evidence of successful entries.
Prize
- The winner will receive coupons to the value of the purchase made.
- The value of the coupons received will be rounded off to the nearest R10.
- Coupons will be issued in denominations of R50, R20 and R10.
- Coupons will be valid for 1 year from date of issue.
- Each coupon may only be used once by a single user and may not be used in conjunction with other coupons.
- The winner is welcome to share coupons with friends and family. There are no user restrictions.
Reservations
- What WayD Says reserves the right to withhold coupons should the item/s purchased for entry into this competition be subsequently returned.
- Prize winners may be requested to post about their winnings on their preferred social media network. The prize winners grant permission for the use of their names and photographs in any advertising and promotional material for this competition.
- What WayD Says reserves the right to alter or cancel the competition at its discretion, without recourse.
Indemnity
The winner unconditionally and irrevocably indemnifies and holds harmless What WayD Says and its successors, employees, officers, suppliers, contractors, agents, consultants, directors and shareholders against all and any losses, claims, proceedings, actions, damages, (direct, consequential or otherwise), liability, demands, expenses, legal costs (on an attorney and own client basis), medical costs or other costs howsoever arising out of, based upon, or in connection with (directly or indirectly) the participants participation in the competition, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
The decision as taken by What WayD Says is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The laws of the Republic of South Africa govern this competition.
This competition is in no way endorsed by Meta or any of its subsidiaries.
The promoter reserves the right to cancel or alter any aspect of the competition at any time at its sole discretion without liability.
Participants in the competition understand and agree that in order to offer the competition, What WayD Says must collect and use personal information about participants. This competition is conducted under the terms of applicable privacy statements.

2. #JournalingForMentalHealth (closed 30 Nov ’21)
General terms and conditions of the Journaling for Mental Health competition hosted by What WayD Says.
Participation
- The competition is conducted by What WayD Says, trading on www.whatwaydsays.co.za.
- No person who is a director, employee, sponsor or agent of or consultant to What WayD Says or who is a spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner, or associate to a director, employee or agent of or consultant to What WayD Says is eligible to participate or enter this competition.
- This competition is open to legal residents of the Republic of South Africa as well as residents of those countries which share a border with South Africa.
Entries
- The competition runs from 17 October 2021 to 30 November 2021. No late entries will be accepted.
- To enter the competition participants read this post and follow the link to the entry form at the bottom of the post OR by answering the question “How many journaling options are given in the post” via WhatsApp or Instagram comment on the relevant post. The winner will be randomly chosen on 3 December 2021.
- No responsibility will be accepted for entries lost, delayed or damaged in transmission.
- Entries reflected on the records of What WayD Says will be treated as the only validation source and will be the only evidence of successful entries.
Prize
- The winner will receive an A6-size hardcover journaling notebook.
- The value of the journal is R60.
- The prize does not include delivery costs.

3. Self-Love Challenge (16-25 February 2022)

Participation
- The competition is conducted by What WayD Says, trading on www.whatwaydsays.co.za.
- No person who is a director, employee, sponsor or agent of or consultant to What WayD Says or who is a spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner, or associate to a director, employee or agent of or consultant to What WayD Says is eligible to participate or enter this competition.
- This competition is open to legal residents of the Republic of South Africa as well as residents of those countries which share a border with South Africa.
Entries
- The competition runs from 16 February 2022 to 25 February 2022. No late entries will be accepted.
- To enter the competition participants need to complete a series of steps as indicated in points 3, 4, 5 and 6 below.
- Follow @waheeda_joosab on Instagram and/or the WhatWayDSays Facebook page. You will receive 1 point for each follow.
- Screenshot the Self-Love Challenge ‘bingo’ board and mark the aspects you would like to work on during the challenge. (This ‘bingo’ board can be found in the highlights tab on @waheeda_joosab’s Instagram account.) Once marked, share your unique screenshot challenge on Instagram and/or Facebook and/or LinkedIn. You will receive 2 points for every share.
- Create a reel, video or story about your experience with the challenge and earn 5 extra points.
- All shared content must contain a tag to notify the Promoter of your content and for your points to be calculated. On Instagram, tag @waheeda_joosab. On Facebook, tag @whatwaydsays.
- The winner will be chosen based on most points earned.
- In the event there are multiple winners based on points earned, a lucky draw will be conducted where a name will be drawn.
- No responsibility will be accepted for entries lost, delayed or damaged in transmission.

Prize
- The winner will receive a Self-Love Hamper filled with goods from the What WayD Says store as well as other wellness-related items.
