Teacher Wellness Workshop
Care for the people who care for our children
Teaching asks a great deal. Long days, heavy workloads and the emotional weight of caring for learners can leave even the most dedicated educators running on empty. A staff wellness session gives your team time to pause, reconnect and leave with practical tools they can use in the classroom and beyond.
About me
I am an educator with an Honours degree in Psychology and a PGCE, and I have spent many years in schools, including in school leadership. I know the pressures teachers face because I live them too. My blog, What WayD Says, was named Best Wellness Blog for Women in SA 2025, and teacher wellbeing has long been close to my heart.
What a session can include
Every school is different, so each session is shaped around your staff, your timetable and what your team needs most. Sessions can draw on:
- Practical tools for managing stress and preventing burnout
- Rest, boundaries and sustainable workloads
- Mindfulness and reflective practice
- Strengthening staff connection and morale
- Ways to keep wellness going after the day itself, including support for a staff member who champions wellbeing at your school
Sessions can run as a short staff development slot, a half day or a full wellness day, and can be offered for teachers, admin and support staff alike.
Please note
These sessions offer wellness education and practical self-care strategies. They are not therapy or counselling. Where an individual needs further support, I can suggest appropriate professional services.
How to enquire
To receive a tailored proposal and quote, please email me with:
- Your school’s name and location
- The approximate number of staff attending
- Your preferred dates or term
- The length of session you have in mind
- Any particular areas you would like the session to focus on
I will respond with an outline and quote that suit your school. Please allow as much notice as possible, as sessions are planned around the school calendar.
I look forward to supporting your team.
